The search of entertainment is already innate for a person. Most of the time people turn to games, books, and movies and may more to be entertained. With the help of the internet one can have a pool of choices for entertainment. Nowadays most of the people would prefer to watch movies or series at home rather than going out. It is much more convenient and you can even save more and feel really comfortable. One of the things that Filipinos nowadays enjoy doing is watching K-Dramas or Korean Dramas, but why? Filipinos seemed not to care about language barrier at all. As expected, Koreans are using their own native language on their films and Filipinos would then rely for English subtitles to be able to understand it. It actually appears tiring yet there are lots of self-confessed K-Drama fans after all. It’s a bit confusing but any Filipino K-Drama fan will give you some of these reasons why they are so hooked with it. 1. Unique Stories – maybe because Filipinos became tired of watching the same stories over and over again and that k-dramas became a really good alternative for it. In all fairness to the Korean Movie Industry, they are quite bold, experimental and they always dare to create something new for their viewers. 2. Few Number of Episodes – K-dramas usually have 16 to 18 episodes per series. This is roughly 3-6 months of airing time regardless of its rating. If you are going to compare it in the Philippines, as long as a particular soap opera is gaining high rating, producers and directors will somehow find ways on how to lengthen the story, like adding new characters having the same purpose of those who have been killed or a new lover etc. 3. Cinematography – Koreans really invest when it comes to production of movies and talents. They have high standards in making a story as ideal as it could be. 4. Plenty of great actors and actresses – the thing about Korean drama couples is that they hardly get paired to each other for another project. The producers and directors would always prefer to match new talents with one another. This strategy is quite effective though because it thrills the fans. It allows the actors to prove their individual charisma and talents instead of mainly relying on love teams to gain fandom. 5. The Korean Beauty – the difference when it comes to physical appearance have a great impact when it comes to movies. Although Koreans and Filipinos belong to Asia, the difference in terms of beauty is what makes Filipinos fond of Koreans. Koreans have a soft kind of beauty, a beauty that’s too welcoming and endearing to watch.
Since it has been launched and introduced by NOKIA, people were extremely excited for the most memorable cellular phone in history which is the NOKIA 3310. It became formally available in the Philippines just this May 2017. However even before its formal release several people were already selling it online. Aside from the unexpected date of release, they are even selling it more than half the price of the introductory price. Well, these sellers are actually selling the clone ones and not the original. In the online shopping world, when someone claims a product as clone it means that the product were assembled or created by a different company. It is not the official item being released and in the simplest form it can be fake. Although it is quite disappointing that the clone ones were first to become available compared to the original one, a number of people were actually interested to buy despite the fact that it can be fake. The NOKIA 3310, is priced at P2490 in the Philippines. Meanwhile the clone ones can be bought at around P650 - P800 depending on the supplier. A huge difference of P1600 is absolutely big. No wonder a lot of people became interested to purchase one. However is it really worth your money? Because of social trend and social pressure people impulsively buy things because they wanted to be part of the trend and so they settle for the substandard ones. With the big price difference, you can expect for a huge difference also in terms of quality, battery life, software interphase and durability. Since Nokia has been much known for creating sturdy phones that are absolutely shockproof, you should not be surprised if your clone NOKIA 3310 won’t last as expected. Clones are copycats of the original. However the similarity of the products is limited to its appearance only. They might look the same from the outside, but never in the inside. Even the software would surely matter between the two. As of the moment there are already variations of NOKIA 3310 clones. Some were said to be made in Taiwan and US. If you really want to re-experience the thrill and the amazement of having a NOKIA phone, you better stay with the original because after all, it is for this reason that it became really popular and even become legendary.
If you are reading this then you are most likely a middle child who is looking for confirmation that you really feel special because of your controversial birth order. Although less attention is given to middle children during child rearing, middle children became an interesting target for research because of their complicated situation. Children who were born on such order have great qualities especially when it comes to coping and socialization. But what are the most common traits that makes up a middle child? Here is the list: 1. A part of you will always feel that nobody cares about you – it is the most fundamental feeling that the middle children share. It starts when you just don’t know who or what you should be. The parents are busy making your older sibling responsible and at the same time they are busy looking after and enjoying your younger sibling. 2. You were used to being alone but you are not even sad about it – although not all middle children are introverts, there is a strong force that pushes a middle child to enjoy a moment of himself or herself to meditate or to think of plans especially when a decision has to be made. 3. You talk to yourself vocally – although it wasn’t intentional, most middle kids were not given the chance to voice out their opinion because it is the job of the older sibling and such decisions are actually made for the benefit of the youngest child. In a way, middle children have been used to voice out their thoughts to their selves alone. They do it because they actually value listening to opinion since they weren’t given that chance when they were young. 4. You always think that you are not your parents’ favorite – parental biases will always take place no matter how many times parents say that they don’t have favoritism among their children. Meanwhile, the middles would voluntarily take the place of not being the favorite child or the less appreciated one because they have been used to sacrifice ever since they became a middle child. 5. It always comes to you to consider other people’s feelings before you make any decision – although this may sound too kind this is actually true for almost all middle kids. Since they were used to get caught in the middle they learned how it feels to be on top of someone and at the same time find themselves in the bottom. 6. You feel a bit distant and secretive to your own family – this is a thing that only middle children could understand. It may sound rebellious but it is not. Since they were used being left behind or that their opinions don’t really matter at all, they become cautious in opening up or trusting a family member.
Nowadays it has been so common to buy stuff online. Online shopping has even become more prominent nowadays because of the convenience that it can offer. You can shop from different parts of the country without even going out. It becomes even more convenient knowing that you will just have to browse it online. Another reason also is because online items are somewhat cheaper than those sold in malls, online sellers would claim that it is because they don’t have to pay for a space at all. The only scary thing about it is its authenticity. How sure are you that you are buying authentic good on your first purchase? Have you ever encountered products being sold online? They are remarkably intriguing because of super low prices. Sellers would often claim that these products came from large manufacturing companies and that the products have minimal packaging defects and were not able to pass the quality control assessment. These products are often used at home and some are even necessities. You can find shampoos, lotion, bath soap, baby powder and many more. Take note that these products are not brand less or those that don’t have packing stickers. In fact these products are known brands which is why it is quite hard to check its authenticity. The best way to validate whether a product is fake or not is by analyzing its price. If it is 50% - 80% less than the regular price then it should alarm you already. You might also wish to ask whether they are legit company distributors. If they will just tell you that they got their supplies from certain supplier then it’s time to change your mind. Most of the time products delivered by a distributor came from a single company with various products. If the seller is selling different products with different brands then it is another warning signal you should never ignore. You might be thinking of the money you can by buying these products online. However you are actually risking your health and even your family. Since it is hard to validate if the product is real, think of what chemicals it contains. Chemical products can potentially cause cancer and even poisoning. In a way your future medical bills will surely make you regret buying fake grocery products online.
Millenials or those who were born on early 2000’s will never understand the kind of life that the batang 90’s were able to experience. It was fun and memorable because children on those days consume most of their time playing with other kids. Internet and gadgets weren’t there yet when the Batang 90’s were still on their growing up years. There are plenty of games that truly a certified batang 90’s will never forget. Here are some of those: Patintero This is quite common for almost all Filipino children living in both rural and urban areas. It has different versions on other places of the country yet the concept is still the same. Luksong Tinik Although boys would often play this game because this is done by hopping or jumping over someone, there are girls who are champions on this. Teks Gadgets were not yet present at that time, but Anime was already present. Kids are very much addicted to it and it is even the reason why they choose to go home early so they can watch it. To note, there was no internet so when you miss an episode you will never have the chance to watch it again, unless the station decided to replay it for some reason. Teks are usually have anime characters on it. And batang 90’s feel like their card or teks has the power of that character as well. Dampa Dampa is a game played with the use of rubberbands. Kids are even quite innovative then, because there are actually different hand techniques that you can use while playing. Your goal here is for you to have the rubber band pass through a certain light, using your bare hands. Spider Fighting (Lawa-Lawa) This may appear as animal cruelty right now, but since Spiders belong to the family of insects, it’s quite hard to determine if a Batang 90’s has already committed a crime back then. It’s like a boxing for spiders. Two sipders will stay on a single stick and they will then eventually fight with each other. It was fun witnessing how a spider can actually produce an amount of silk from its mouth to strangle its prey. Chinese Garter This game is quite common for girls rather than boys because of the nature of the game. It involves bending and flexing of legs in order to reach a certain level. Marbles Marbles or Jolen for Filipino Kids, goes along with dampa and teks. Your goal is to have the marble shoot on a hole intended for it. The game also includes the player hitting the marble of his opponent at a certain distance.
When you don’t have sweet tooth it is hard to find snacks that can match your low tolerance for sugar. Almost all snacks were made out of sugar, chocolates and other forms of sweeteners. It is the main reason why Skittles stands out from the rest of the group. It is a sweet yet sour candy that comes in a bright rainbow colors. But all of a sudden Skittles became really dull and lost all that rainbow colors. In an official stamen made by Skittles, they decided to have a different packaging for intended for the entire month of June. As practiced June is the month dedicated for the LGBT community. The LGBT community has the rainbow to represent them because they acknowledged that they are composed of different genders thus constitutes not just a single color but of different colors. Since the Skittles and the LGBT community share the same kind of color representation, Skittles gladly gave way to the LGBT community. According to them, although the share the same symbol, one has to stand out and celebrate their existence and they give it whole heartedly to the LGBT group. This is such a remarkable and thoughtful move for Skittles. Although they were branded and known because of their color, they were not afraid to give way to celebrate a significant event for some people. Consumers in return have shown appreciation to what the company did. Their customers admired their sensitive and immediate decision to honor the LGBT community. Changing brand packaging is a bit risky when it comes to sales and market. Well known and established companies see to it that when they have to change or modify their packaging it needs to be somehow close to the previous design. It is because people shop out of familiarity. When you change your packaging into a totally different concept, chances are your consumers will not be able to recognize your products anymore. However it is different with the case of Skittles. They dared to risk their sales and their brand in order to commemorate an event. With this making rounds in the internet, Skittles is rest assured that their customers would still remain loyal to them.
Even before the end of the season and when it already became really popular, several people have already feared the after effect of the most controversial story 13 Reasons Why. Although the main purpose of the series is to raise awareness when it comes to suicide, it came to the point that it was somewhat being justified and encouraged instead of condemning the act. Several group have already showed disapproval with the series yet it has been neglected and then someone just committed a suicide in the same manner as what Hannah Baker did. A guy whose identity being kept confidential committed suicide by jumping off from the fourth floor of their apartment in Peru. He was just 23 years old and his mother was even there when the incident happened. The odd thing here is that just like the series, the guy left two suicide notes. The first note was intended for a girl that he likes and the other one is a list of people that he consider as the reasons why he could no longer take it anymore. He also left recorded tapes along with the note just exactly how the series went through. Although nobody wanted this to happen, but the makers of the series failed to act upon their social responsibility in preserving life. It is somewhat they were confident when they tried to justify suicide given the fact that it was just a TV series. But what happens now that it actually occurred in real life? What will happen to those who became part of the list? They were forced to feel guilty of something that they never wished to happen. Issues like suicide must not be taken lightly especially now that media has a huge impact on its viewers. This is not the first time that a disastrous thing like this happened. There are also cases of death related to movies such as 50 Shades of Grey.
Dogs and humans are not just best of friends, both also share the same qualities and even unique traits and one of these is the eye color. There are just unique things that could happen and sometimes it can be treated as unusual ones. Having different eye color is just one of the unusual cases for dogs and humans. In dogs this phenomena is called Heterochromia. Although it may appear as an abnormality, there are few cases of Heterochromia that indicates illnesses. Dogs’ eye color depends on the level of melanin present in the iris, which is actually the same with humans. A high level of melanin could give a brown eye color or the usual color of dogs’ eyes. Meanwhile dogs with light blue or green indicates low level of melanin. The levels of melanin on each eye can be different with one another thus there are some dogs who don’t have the same eye color. One eye can be brown and the other one can be blue or green. Dogs that were born to have different eye colors fall in the congenital case. Heterochromia can actually be passed through generations. If you got a dog having such condition since it was a pup, the most probable reason is that its parents either have the condition or even both of them. However there are also cases when Heterochromia can be acquired. It can happen in an occurrence of a disease such as glaucoma, cataract, or even the failure of the optic nerve to develop. Heterochromia is much more common on dogs with lighter coat. It can again be explained due to the levels of melanin. The color of the dogs coat is still part of the melanin’s coverage. One of the most common dog breed to have a different eye color is Siberian husky. However it can still occur even to those who don’t have light coat.
