What Does Your Birth Order Says About Your Personality?

There are several ways to determine a person’s capability. A person can be judged through educational attainment, amount of salary or savings that that person has and many more. But a person’s personality is something which makes that particular person different from any other. In general personality is the overall qualities of a person. It includes his or her coping mechanisms, attitude to a particular situation, beliefs, aspiration, his or her character and even temperament. But how does a person’s personality develop? Is it something inborn, or is personality made? According to Psychology there are several things that can affect and are responsible in shaping a person’s personality such as birth order.
The relevance of birth order to personality was first proposed by Alfred Adler. According to him, birth order determines or guides a person’s personality because of a made up expectation to a child even before he or she learns to behave on things. Children are already expected to behave into a particular list things because it has been the norm of the society.

birth order

The birth order theory includes the first born, second born, middle, and the last born or as the only child. According to Adler the following are the shaped personalities according to birth order:

First Born – Tends to become achievers, controlling, and reliable, independent, perfectionist, structured and cautious. These traits are often associated with child rearing, since the first born are always entrusted or tasked to look after their younger siblings. And as the first born grows older, it will play a huge part in the development of personality.
Middle Child – We often hear about middle child syndrome which describes the crisis of being in between an older and a younger sibling. The birth order triggers the middle child to feel less wanted because the first born is entrusted with the responsibility and then the youngest becomes the favorite. Middle children tend to become secretive, short tempered, and prone to become rebellious but are good when it comes to socializing with other people.
Youngest – The youngest child in the family is considered to be the favorite of all. Although parents would try to give equal treatment to their children, it is the youngest child who will get all the attention and care. With the abundance of love and attention the youngest kids can become manipulative, self-centered, dependent, attention seeker but at the same time they are outgoing, they are good in dealing emotions and are often relaxed.

Last April 12, 2017, the internet was stormed by viral videos of a certain passenger being violently dragged down from his seat. It was absolutely a very awful scene not only for the victim but as well as the passengers. Several passengers of the same flight took pictures and videos of it and instantly upload it to social media. It wasn’t long enough that almost the entire world became aware of what the Airline Company just did to one of its passengers.     According to the United Airlines, the dragging off of the passenger was a result of overbooking. Basically airline companies are actually allowed to overbook provided the possibility of passengers who failed to show up during their flights. However flight 3411 bound to Louisville Kentucky turned out to be fully booked, with all seats being occupied already by its passengers. It could have been a usual flight for everyone; however there were crews from the said airline who needed to be onboard as well because they need to be transferred to the next station. At this point, The United Airlines, decided to prioritize their cabin crews instead of their passengers who were already occupying their seats. At first they offered a certain amount to compensate those who will voluntarily give up their seats, to give way for the four cabin crews. However no one actually volunteered to exit the plane, roughly because the soonest flight to avail will be on the next day.      United Airline actually became disappointed with its passengers’ reaction as if they find their offer a great one and so they decided to pick on passengers who will need to deplane the aircraft whether they like it or not. One of these passengers refused to the airline’s decision and explained that he needs to go home at that moment and that he cannot miss that flight because he is a doctor and his patients and family are all waiting for him. However instead of convincing the passenger, one of the police officers who happened to be respond to the airline’s request, forcefully removed the man from his seat. The incident caused the man to bump his head unto the armchair leaving him to lose his two front teeth and a broken nose. The man was actually bleeding as he was being dragged down the aisle while all the passengers are taking pictures of him, questioning what the airline just did.       It was absolutely an event that nobody could ever deny that it was the airline’s greatest mistake. In fact United Airlines just experienced a remarkable drop in their shares following the said event. People are now actually campaigning to boycott them which is something any company wouldn’t want to experience. The CEO even tried to consider the event as an unfortunate one when in fact it was horrendous and a morbid scene for all the people who saw what really happened inside.      As of the moment, Dr David Dao, who has been identified as a Vietnamese-American, is now consulting his lawyers in filing a lawsuit against United Airlines. It only means it’s payback time, literally and figuratively.
Until the discovery of the Callao Man, archaeologists used to believe that it was the Tabon Man who was the oldest and earliest man to have lived in the Philippines. The fossils of the Callao’s remains was discovered in Cagayan in Penablanca in the Callao Caves. It was found by Armand Salvador Mijares in the year 2007.      The discovery has produced a metatarsal, a group of bones which are located in mid and hind foot and somewhere near the toes. This metatarsus was about Sixty millimeters long. The find was dated through the use of a uranium series ablation, the most accurate dating method used by archaeologists. The results of the uranium shows that the bones were about 60-67,000 years old. If they were to prove the bones to belong to the Homo Sapiens then it would beat the Tabon Man and earn its place in the list as the earliest remains of man to be found in the Philippines. It also has the chance of being the oldest not only in the country but in the whole of Asia Pacific. Researchers has noted that the Callao Man had an average height of 4ft tall.      Researchers also believe that their descendants could be the Aetas who live in the mountains in the present in the Philippines. This is because of the possible features that emanate from their study of the metatarsal which suggests short height, curly hair and dark skin.      But the classification in terms of the biological of the Callao man became uncertain in July of 2010. This is because the metatarsal that was discovered was found out by researchers as belonging to the Homo genus species. These researchers speculate that Callao Man could either belong to the Homo florsiensis or the Homo Sapiens. Homo florsiensis are species which are distinct from men that is usually short in height and resides mostly on the islands of Indonesia. On the other hand, the Homo Sapiens are what is now known as the modern type of men. The researchers were becoming unsure of the genus of the bones due to the fact that they haven’t yet discovered a skull to fit the metatarsal. But Mijares was able to stress that the Callao Man was most probably an individual that has a small body.     Theories show that the Callao Man and his group of humans originated from the country of Indonesia and came to Luzon by way of a raft. The researchers have noted that this theory fits to dated existence of the Callao Man when humans were not yet capable of travelling long distances and voyages.      This glaciations created isthmuses or land bridges that connected islands from other islands. According to the theory during the times of the Callao Man there were isthmuses that connected Philippines to all of Southeast Asia.  In the present day, there have been no other researchers to find more on the bones of the Callao Man except those of Mijares’ group from the University of the Philippines.
Communication is one of the key things that give our lives meaning in our stay here on Earth. With the advent of technology, the Internet we know today has been a very vital tool for this. Originally, in the 1950’s, the Internet was made for the military: to use computers in defeating the Soviet Union and its allies by an army networked together. Because of the immobility of computers back then, scientists were prompted to create a wireless network capable of linking to other networks of computers miles and miles away. And poof! It became the Internet! Forty years later, it may not have served its intended purpose back then, but like an invisible army, this same Internet has now conquered the entire globe and has kept on growing and innovating. It’s no wonder people are inevitably evolving with it as well.     Whether you’re a digital native or just learning the ropes, here’s a quick guide to the latest trends of some of the most popular apps known to man as of 2017:  1.    Facebook  With over 1 billion downloads up to this date, with its users on a constant love-hate relationship because of its constant update, Facebook has been here for 13 years, starting from 2004, and was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and colleagues. It is one of today’s leading social media apps where you can connect with friends and family, share photos and videos, and express yourself. Here’s the latest: •    Augmented Reality – AR is technology which combines virtual reality with our reality as it overlays digital text and objects on to the real world. Mark has just recently announced that they are developing augmented-reality (AR) glasses. •    In-App (AR) Camera Filters – Partly, one of the reasons why they have integrated new camera filters into the app is to help people get familiar and ease in the transition of this new tech. But the most part is that it’s just fun! This feature is jam-packed with effects like masks, frames and all sorts of stuff you can apply to your photos or videos.   2.    Instagram Also with a whopping 1 billion downloads, Instagram is now 7 years old. Created by Kevin Systrom for iOS in 2010 (and released an Android version in 2012), Instagram is a pretty straightforward app. As its namesake, you “instantly” share photos and videos publicly or privately. Here are its newest deals: •    New Direct – disappearing photos and videos will now appear alongside text messages and shared posts; in other words, your permanent and temporary shares can now be seen in one seamless thread, turning it into beautiful visual conversations. Simple as it is, the dev’s really took their time to make this a thing. •    Carousel Posts - in other words, Multiple Image Posts, which will allow you to make Insta-posts slide-showing up to 10 images/videos. It’s like posting a moving album!   3.    Snapchat Originally, Snapchat was first named “Picaboo” (cute, right?) as the intent was to make an app that will allow  “disappearing posts” or pictures and messages that are only available for a short amount of time and will auto-delete itself. I bet James Bond would love this app. Let’s take a look at what’s new with our little ghost: •    Snapchat Search – The search bar is now practically everywhere! On the chat and camera screen, and on Stories; this way it’ll be easier to find your contacts or even make new ones. •    Bitmoji Takeover – is your own personal emoji or avatar, and much like the search bar, Bitmoji is now all over the place… in chat, profile, and in search results. •    Global Snapchat Story – Story now goes global! You get to post and see stories from all around the world even if you’re not there where the Story was held.   4.    Twitter  Ever heard of that line, “A little bird told me”? I’m guessing that’s where Twitter got its inspiration for its phenomenal “tweets”, messages that only consist of 140 characters. Here you can get the latest scoops from news to entertainment and politics, you name it. Here are some of its latest updates:   •    Twitter Lite – a fast data-friendly version of this app for those who have slow connections, making it more accessible to all kinds of people. Plus, they’ve added a new Data Saver Mode to further cut down on the mobile data used. Through this mode, you only get a preview of images and videos and you simply click which ones you want to fully load.   •    Safety Upgrades – Twitter has been working overtime to ensure their consumers’ safety and privacy. The team addressed several issues on cyber-abuse, like identifying abusive content and stopping the creation of new abusive accounts, collapsing potentially abusive or low-quality tweets, etc. They also introduced a “safe search” where you can filter Tweets that may contain sensitive contents and Tweets from accounts you’ve blocked or muted.

No wonder lots of things or products now come in an instant. The less time you need to prepare or the less amount of time it requires the better. One best example is an instant coffee. Coffee is such an in demand drinks in an office. It keeps people awake. It boosts people’s concentration which leads them to finish their work. Indeed coffee can make things better that is why an average person who works in the office can actually consume 2-3 cups of coffee a day.      It has been already proven that coffee has greater advantages than disadvantages. Although it isn’t 100% side effect free, people can benefit from it especially by taking it in a controlled amount. There is no doubt coffee is one of the healthiest drinks next to tea, however are you sure you are drinking the right coffee?      Since coffee can promote productivity in work, people think a higher consumption of coffee means higher productivity. This can only happen if you are drinking the right and healthy coffee. Now, are instant coffees healthy enough? The answer is a quick no. By the name itself, instant coffee can actually bring harm to your body. Instant coffee usually comes in a ready to drink formula. Coffee, sugar and milk are all added so you don’t have to worry about it. You can have it in a small pouch which is very much convenient for anyone.      People would often result to drinking instant coffees because it is readily available everywhere. Also, there are a lot of varieties to choose from and it’s very affordable. These are the things that often influence people to drink instant coffees rather than prepare the regular ones. Because of its availability people tend to consume even 2-3 cups of it a day without worrying of its side effects or cost.      Although drinking instant coffee can help in saving time, you are actually risking your health in exchange for it. Instant coffees contain a certain amount of sugar that is known to trigger diabetes, and obesity. You can actually gain weight by consuming 2-3 cups of instant coffee a day. To make things worse, it can make you gain unhealthy fat, making yourself much vulnerable to lifestyle diseases. Aside from the threat of weight gain, it also contains addictive compounds. It can also trigger high rate of palpitations because of the amount of caffeine that it contains.      Several studies have shown that instant coffees are bad for your health. Black coffee is recommended, although it takes time to prepare, you are sure that you are drinking something which is healthy for your body.
A new discovery has shocked the public when it has been revealed that obesity can actually be caused by a certain virus. This virus is  Adenovirus-36 which is actually the cause of common colds. It can be transferred through sneezing. So how did it became a culprit for obesity? According to studies conducted, subjects infected with this virus gained almost 60% of body fat which is absolutely unusual.     Obesity has been one of the greatest struggles of the modern generation. Despite the risk and negative effects of obesity, its number is still rapidly growing even up to this moment. It is also depressing to note that the age of those having obesity keeps on getting younger and younger each year.      As history and science stated, obesity is a result of unhealthy lifestyle. It can be passed through generations making it a hereditary type of illness. It has even created a stigma especially in the society of how obesity can actually make you feel rejected and unloved. Most of the people with this kind of problem would complain that they never really wanted to become what they are. Yet it sounds really difficult to accept since people were used to think that obesity is the product of eating too much amount of food.     This notion could be rejected in no time after scientist have discovered that lifestyle and genetics could not only be the culprit behind this illness. In a study entitled it has been discussed that obesity can actually be caused by a strand of virus. If this is true, then obesity can be transferred or contagious disease. This is the main reason why people almost panicked after reading this new statement. However it has also sparked the scientist to study more and perhaps discover a definite cure for this illness. If this happens, several lives can be helped and possibly obesity may no longer be a great crisis for the entire mankind.     On the other hand, opponents of this study, strongly questioned the possibility of blaming the cause of obesity to virus. According to them, viruses have incubation periods and that it is impossible to trigger obesity. Obesity being contagious is also very impossible to believe since according to them, obesity is acquired through time rather than a quick exposure to someone and then develop it later on.      Debates are still continuing as researchers and scientists are trying to reveal the causes of obesity and finding ways or treatments on how to actually put an end to this illness.

Nature is indeed full of wonders and humans have not really explored it totally. There are still things that are seemingly odd in nature and there are also some that are quite deceiving. Take for example this Emerald Green Cat that was discovered in a small town in Bulgaria.      The town people and even people from far cities are quite familiar with this seemingly odd creature because of its color. The cat has been spotted walking around the city, it gives the town people the impression that it is a stray and it only gets its food by roaming around the place.      Due to its distinct color and possible breakthrough in the feline world, people from far countries travelled to Bulgaria just to take a closer peek and even take some pictures of it. However, this cat’s stardom started to fade when rainstorms came. Its bright emerald green color slowly faded away when rain started to fall.      It has been found out that the cat got its color from a barrel of paint where it sleeps. Although paints contain toxins that are eventually not good for the health, the cat was actually in good shape all throughout its stardom. With its color fading away, its popularity indeed started to slow down, however its quite noticeable she enjoyed her moment and made the most of it by gaining extra pounds.

With today’s trend where direct, private, and instant messages are of great help to people, consumers must be aware in choosing mobile apps especially if it has something to do with your personal info’s such as your contact list where clients, bank accounts and other important stuff are being saved.     Most of the time, mobile apps are being installed because of its popularity. When a wide audience seemed to use it even for just a short time, you should expect for others to try it too without really verifying its security measures.  SARAHAH Honesty App is supposedly an app that can be used in giving feedbacks anonymously. Seems like people nowadays are drawn into intriguing stuff more than ever. However accordingly the app works in such a way that the person who has been rated or given feedback has no way of tracing or replying to it. The creator of the app tend to give its users the chance to leave positive comments or feedbacks as an act of kindness while keeping their identity unknown.      However the entire community has been totally shocked (shookt) when it has been revealed that this app is actually unknowingly stealing your personal details such as your contact list.     In a certain Facebook post by Mark Dianne Duarte, three women are now asking for help from anyone with a good heart to help them with their current situation. The victims are residents of Cabdbaran Agusan del Sur.      With the intent to enhance and beautify themselves, they decided to undergo treatment from a person whom they barely know. The procedure went by injecting some unknown chemicals unto their faces. However instead of having better and beautiful faces, it went really worse and appeared distorted. The three of them have the same reaction with the chemical.     With the help of their friends and families, they are now trying to reach a certain amount in order to help the victims. Aside from the horrible outcome of what happened, the victims are now starting to become ill and are all afraid of what could happen to them if not given the proper care.     Unfortunately, the suspect is now nowhere to be found. The victims were not even aware of the suspect’s whereabouts.     According to the one who posted, a certain media will then cover the story of these women, to inform and especially warn those who would dare to undergo such procedure. The suspect was not a licensed medical professional but because of cheaper rates he managed to convince these ladies to try it all for the aim of becoming beautiful.
When you don’t have sweet tooth it is hard to find snacks that can match your low tolerance for sugar. Almost all snacks were made out of sugar, chocolates and other forms of sweeteners. It is the main reason why Skittles stands out from the rest of the group. It is a sweet yet sour candy that comes in a bright rainbow colors. But all of a sudden Skittles became really dull and lost all that rainbow colors.     In an official stamen made by Skittles, they decided to have a different packaging for intended for the entire month of June. As practiced June is the month dedicated for the LGBT community. The LGBT community has the rainbow to represent them because they acknowledged that they are composed of different genders thus constitutes not just a single color but of different colors.      Since the Skittles and the LGBT community share the same kind of color representation, Skittles gladly gave way to the LGBT community. According to them, although the share the same symbol, one has to stand out and celebrate their existence and they give it whole heartedly to the LGBT group.      This is such a remarkable and thoughtful move for Skittles. Although they were branded and known because of their color, they were not afraid to give way to celebrate a significant event for some people. Consumers in return have shown appreciation to what the company did. Their customers admired their sensitive and immediate decision to honor the LGBT community.     Changing brand packaging is a bit risky when it comes to sales and market. Well known and established companies see to it that when they have to change or modify their packaging it needs to be somehow close to the previous design. It is because people shop out of familiarity. When you change your packaging into a totally different concept, chances are your consumers will not be able to recognize your products anymore.      However it is different with the case of Skittles. They dared to risk their sales and their brand in order to commemorate an event. With this making rounds in the internet, Skittles is rest assured that their customers would still remain loyal to them.
