6 Signs That You Are A Certified Middle Child

If you are reading this then you are most likely a middle child who is looking for confirmation that you really feel special because of your controversial birth order. Although less attention is given to middle children during child rearing, middle children became an interesting target for research because of their complicated situation. Children who were born on such order have great qualities especially when it comes to coping and socialization. But what are the most common traits that makes up a middle child?
Here is the list:

1.

middle child syndrome

A part of you will always feel that nobody cares about you – it is the most fundamental feeling that the middle children share. It starts when you just don’t know who or what you should be. The parents are busy making your older sibling responsible and at the same time they are busy looking after and enjoying your younger sibling.

2.    You were used to being alone but you are not even sad about it – although not all middle children are introverts, there is a strong force that pushes a middle child to enjoy a moment of himself or herself to meditate or to think of plans especially when a decision has to be made.

3.

middle child problem

You talk to yourself vocally – although it wasn’t intentional, most middle kids were not given the chance to voice out their opinion because it is the job of the older sibling and such decisions are actually made for the benefit of the youngest child. In a way, middle children have been used to voice out their thoughts to their selves alone. They do it because they actually value listening to opinion since they weren’t given that chance when they were young.

4.

middle child problem

You always think that you are not your parents’ favorite – parental biases will always take place no matter how many times parents say that they don’t have favoritism among their children. Meanwhile, the middles would voluntarily take the place of not being the favorite child or the less appreciated one because they have been used to sacrifice  ever since they became a middle child.

5.    It always comes to you to consider other people’s feelings before you make any decision – although this may sound too kind this is actually true for almost all middle kids. Since they were used to get caught in the middle they learned how it feels to be on top of someone and at the same time find themselves in the bottom.

6.

middle child problem

You feel a bit distant and secretive to your own family – this is a thing that only middle children could understand. It may sound rebellious but it is not. Since they were used being left behind or that their opinions don’t really matter at all, they become cautious in opening up or trusting a family member.

The Philippines has been known to be a home for variety of culture and tradition. It can’t be denied that different tribe, and races were able to contribute and influence the Philippine’s history. Descendants from different cultures were embraced by the native Filipinos and created a community of prosperity rich in friendship and respect. One of the most common events being celebrated in the Philippines is the Chinese New Year. Although this event is intended for Chinese communities only, Filipinos have been fully accustomed to it. Not to mention the existing business establishments owned by Filipino-Chinese families that has been present for quite some time.       For this year, Chinese New Year will fall on January 28, 2017. Is it the same with the usual New Year celebration that the entire world is celebrating during January 1? The reason why Chinese have different kind of New Year Celebration is that Chinese follow the Lunar Calendar instead of the Gregorian calendar. Each year has its own or being represented by a zodiac. Chinese calendar is highly astronomical in nature and this has been their basis since time immemorial. It is also a sort of guide in choosing the best and luckiest dates for certain celebrations or events such as wedding, funerals, house blessings and even in opening a business.      In the Philippines, Chinese New Year is declared as a local non-working holiday. Although the number of number of people who have Chinese blood or are Chinese are not that many, it is a local holiday for all of the Filipinos to celebrate. This is how Chinese’s culture is closely tied with the Filipino’s. It has been also part of the Filipino community to join the Chinese with their tradition during Chinese New Year.      Tikoy which is actually a common food being sold during this celebration has been very popular within the entire country. It is actually made from grinned glutinous rice which is usually sweet. It has different flavors and its sticky nature is said to signify the closeness of family and friends. In China it is called Nian Gao. Although you can buy this anytime of the year, it is more in demand during the celebration of New Year.     Another thing which is very significant during this event is the Chinese Lion Dance. A group of dancers dressed in loud colors usually in red and yellow will roam the streets and perform the lion dance. Dancers are then escorted by other people who will be playing the cymbals and drums to give beat to the dance. They are usually seen in business establishments owned by Chinese businessmen. It is said that the lion dance can bring good fortune especially in business enterprises, since according to them, lions are considered to be the symbol of luck and positive energy.
Water: The one element planet Earth has that sets it apart from all the other planets in our system. This is also the reason why only our planet is able to sustain life, its surface covered with 71 percent water. The human body itself is roughly made up of 60% water; essentially more than half of our being is H2O, which is why it is so vital for us to keep hydrated. A person can survive up to a proverbial 40 days without food, but would be a goner in a week’s time without water.      The question is how much water is enough on a daily basis? Most people have grown up using the 8x8 rule, or in layman’s term, drinking eight (ounce) glasses of water per day, which would be half a gallon or about 2 liters. The funny thing is there’s not much evidence to back this myth up except it’s just easy to remember. In reality, you have to note that the actual amount depends on a lot of factors like age, weight, gender, how physically active you are, the weather, etc.     Studies have shown that the average adult male will need 3.7 liters of fluids per day, while females need 2.7 liters. Children and teens would be: 1 liter (5 glasses) for 5-8 year olds, 1.5 liters (7 glasses) for 9-12 year olds, and 2 liters (8 to 10 glasses) for 13+ years.      Another good question to ask is how can you tell if you’re drinking enough water? Simple: check your urine. If you’re not drinking enough, your urine will look yellowish or have an orange color. The best indication is when it has a clear or pale yellow color. Soft bowel movements are a good sign too.     Note that you don’t really have to wait feeling thirsty to drink. Your body is constantly using up water and thirst is your body’s way of telling you that you’re becoming dehydrated. The good thing is all forms of fluid you take in counts. This includes milk, juice, tea, and even coffee, though water is still the best. Fruits and vegetables are a great source too. That said, don’t drink while you’re taking a meal or munching on snacks. It can be tempting but doing so may cause bloating and indigestion, as the water will counteract with the digesting enzymes your body is producing. The best time to drink would be 15-30 minutes prior or after a meal.     No matter how busy you get, don’t ever forget to refill, no matter what the means. Keep a water bottle handy to remind you. Never underestimate a simple glass of water to charge up for the whole day. A healthier you is a better you.
The Dinagyang Festival is both a cultural and religious festival. It is held in Iloilo City on January every year on the 4th Sunday. Sometimes it is celebrated right after the Sinulog ends in Cebu. The Dinagyang Festival is a tribute to Santo Nino and the Malay settlers’ arrival in Panay.     The Festival in November of 1967. That year, Reverend Ambrosio Galindez led the introduction to the people of the Santo Nino devotion. In the following year, Father Enderez brought a replica of the Santo Nino in Cebu to Iloilo and gave it to the Parish of San Jose as a gift. The faithful Catholics as an honor to Santo Nino received the image from the local Airport and paraded it on the streets. When the Marcos regime announced its order on all the regions of the Philippines to create festivals in order to improve the country’s tourism in 1977, Iloilo city was already ready to provide with its own Iloilo Ati-atihan.      The Dinagyang Festival is a festival divided into different events. The first event focuses on the Ati-Ati Street Dance where participants dance in groups. The second event is the Kasadyahan Street dancing and finally, the last event is the choosing of the Miss Dinagyang.     In present times, most of the parts of the festival is consisted by numerous tribes who are called “tribus”. Originally the dancers were people belonging to Ati tribes. But today, no real Ati joins the event nor do they benefit from it. The dancing in the festivals requires some rules to be followed. Performers who join should have their skins painted brown. Aside from that they are only allowed to use materials which comes from indigenous materials for their costumes. The dancing also should be performed with music which uses drums only as its instrument. Because of the efforts of the participants and performers, from 2006 up to 2008 the Dinagyang Festival made it as the top Event for Tourism. Also, it has a record of being the first ever festival in the world to be supported by United Nations.     The Dinagyang Festival has introduced innovations through years of its celebration. These are innovations which through the years also influenced some of the festivals in the Philippines. The Carousel Performance was initiated by the said festival which is simultaneously performed by the tribes in competition. The Mobile Risers was first introduced in 1994 by the Bola-bola tribu. It is a prominent choreography in the Dinagyang festival which has become popular in other festivals too. The Dinagyang Pipes innovation are pipes which are beaten with rubber paddles. The pipes all produce sounds which depends on its size and length. Finally, the Dagoy mascot which is also the first mascot created for festivals in the Philippines was produced from the Dinagyang festival. The image of Dagoy was first taken from a sketch competition in Dinagyang on 2002. Later on, it became official as the logo of the Dinagyang. The caricature portrays a young warrior whose character symbolizes the friendship of the natives and tourists who gather together to celebrate the festival.
Have you been mistaken for your age because of those heavy bags under your eyes? This happens most of the time because eye bags can really affect your face and your aura. If you have been watching make up tutorials, one of the most important areas in your face that needs a great concealer are your eye bags. People who have heavy and dark eye bags are usually judged to have stressful lives and are on the brink of their career and that they are slowly deteriorating.      It is hard to appear fresh and lively if you have those bags with you and no matter what you do they seemed to stay with you for the rest of time. You might be wondering what you have been doing wrong all this time to have those ugly things with you. Here are the lists of common mistakes that often result to huge, dark and ugly eye bags.  1.    Too much consumption of salt. Salt is a compound primarily composed of sodium. A food which is high in salt can trigger your kidneys to release signals to normalize the amount of sodium in your body. The only way to buffer and balance the amount of sodium is through water. Your body sends water on areas which has low water content such as the area under your eyes. Since you have thin skin on this area, bloating is highly noticeable. This often results to puffy eyes but more people prefer to call it eye bags. 2.    Swollen eye bags can be caused by allergies. When a person experience an allergic reaction one of the most common indicator is through unending sneezing. Since the areas where your eyes bags are located are near the sinuses it is also affected by the allergic reaction. 3.    Your sleeping position can be the culprit as well. People may think your sleeping position does not affect your eyes at all. However by sleeping in a relaxed position, which means by sleeping with your back against the bed you are  actually preventing the flow of fluid underneath your eyes 4.    Sleeping with your make up. When you have been through a rough day, all you want to do is to rest and sleep soundly. However it is important to remove those make up first before hitting your bed. Sleeping with your make up on can actually make your eyes dry. In order to reinforce the dryness your body sends signals and direct water to flush your eye bags .  5.    Too much consumption of alcohol. Alcohol can remove the water from your eyes because of its diuretic nature. When this happens, again your body will send signals in order for water to stay where it is needed. This is the reason why you’ll end up with very puffy eyes the next day. 6.    Lack of sleep. It is often the most common reason why a person can have dark circles under the eyes. However staying up late isn’t the main reason. Staying awake for more hours than usual can actually drain the liquid under your eyes. Aside from dehydration, the dark circles indicate fatigue as well. This occurs when the body has worked for hours without having the chance to rest.

In a certain Facebook post by Mark Dianne Duarte, three women are now asking for help from anyone with a good heart to help them with their current situation. The victims are residents of Cabdbaran Agusan del Sur.      With the intent to enhance and beautify themselves, they decided to undergo treatment from a person whom they barely know. The procedure went by injecting some unknown chemicals unto their faces. However instead of having better and beautiful faces, it went really worse and appeared distorted. The three of them have the same reaction with the chemical.     With the help of their friends and families, they are now trying to reach a certain amount in order to help the victims. Aside from the horrible outcome of what happened, the victims are now starting to become ill and are all afraid of what could happen to them if not given the proper care.     Unfortunately, the suspect is now nowhere to be found. The victims were not even aware of the suspect’s whereabouts.     According to the one who posted, a certain media will then cover the story of these women, to inform and especially warn those who would dare to undergo such procedure. The suspect was not a licensed medical professional but because of cheaper rates he managed to convince these ladies to try it all for the aim of becoming beautiful.
When you don’t have sweet tooth it is hard to find snacks that can match your low tolerance for sugar. Almost all snacks were made out of sugar, chocolates and other forms of sweeteners. It is the main reason why Skittles stands out from the rest of the group. It is a sweet yet sour candy that comes in a bright rainbow colors. But all of a sudden Skittles became really dull and lost all that rainbow colors.     In an official stamen made by Skittles, they decided to have a different packaging for intended for the entire month of June. As practiced June is the month dedicated for the LGBT community. The LGBT community has the rainbow to represent them because they acknowledged that they are composed of different genders thus constitutes not just a single color but of different colors.      Since the Skittles and the LGBT community share the same kind of color representation, Skittles gladly gave way to the LGBT community. According to them, although the share the same symbol, one has to stand out and celebrate their existence and they give it whole heartedly to the LGBT group.      This is such a remarkable and thoughtful move for Skittles. Although they were branded and known because of their color, they were not afraid to give way to celebrate a significant event for some people. Consumers in return have shown appreciation to what the company did. Their customers admired their sensitive and immediate decision to honor the LGBT community.     Changing brand packaging is a bit risky when it comes to sales and market. Well known and established companies see to it that when they have to change or modify their packaging it needs to be somehow close to the previous design. It is because people shop out of familiarity. When you change your packaging into a totally different concept, chances are your consumers will not be able to recognize your products anymore.      However it is different with the case of Skittles. They dared to risk their sales and their brand in order to commemorate an event. With this making rounds in the internet, Skittles is rest assured that their customers would still remain loyal to them.
